Download1976-2022 Wendy Renee Siminski, age 46, died on March 4, 2022 after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
She had an accomplished marketing career driving the mission of various organizations, with a heavy focus on the life sciences industry, serving in executive positions for the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) and AdvaMed.
"..A marketing strategist, creative visionary, and outstanding mentor, Wendy knew how to motivate and inspire teams, cultivate talent, and positively influence those around her. As poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The only way to have a friend is to be one" and a friend she was. Wendy considered her wide circle of friends and colleagues an extension of her family and she cherished each and every one.
In lieu of flowers, Wendy has requested donations be made to METAvivor which supports Metastatic Breast Cancer research."
----------------------
Wendy was a colleague and a friend of many of us. She is sorely missed at BIO every year since. My father's wife died of the same situation in 2005. We should always remember who this industry serves - humanity but ourselves, friends and our own families.
